Cancellation & Refund Policy
A clear process for changing or ending a WESTQEM consulting engagement.
Scope of this policy
This policy applies to fees paid directly to WESTQEM CORP for its online home and garden consulting services. It does not govern furniture, garden products, software, or work purchased directly from third-party sellers or specialists; their own cancellation and return rules apply.
The written agreement for a service may provide additional details about scheduling, milestones, or a monthly arrangement. Any mandatory rights under applicable law continue to apply regardless of a website policy.
Before work begins
If you wish to cancel after accepting a service but before WESTQEM has begun the agreed work, notify us as soon as possible at the email address below. We will review the payment status and refund amounts paid for work not performed, subject to any lawful, clearly disclosed third-party commitment or separately agreed charge already incurred.
Do not assume that pressing a form button cancels a service: the website form does not transmit messages. Cancellation should be sent directly by email with the service name and enough information to identify the arrangement.
After work has begun
If a consultation, research, planning, or other agreed work is underway when a cancellation request is received, we will review the work completed, materials prepared, and commitments made up to that point. Charges may reflect work already performed. Any remaining refundable portion will be calculated against the accepted scope and applicable law.
Because advisory work is often customized, a completed consultation or delivered planning material cannot be treated the same way as an unopened retail product. This does not limit a remedy that may be required if a service was not provided as agreed or if applicable law grants a different right.
Rescheduling
For a scheduled virtual consultation, contact us promptly if you need another time. Availability and any effect on the project timeline will be confirmed directly. A change requested before the scheduled session is easier to accommodate than a request made after an appointment has started or been missed.
We do not publish a universal rescheduling fee or fixed notice window on this page. Any such term for your booking must be communicated clearly before you accept the service.
Changes to the scope
If you want to reduce, expand, or change a service, describe the requested change in writing. We will review whether work has already been completed and whether a revised scope, fee, or timeline is needed. Additional paid work should be agreed before it begins.
If WESTQEM cannot provide an accepted service, we will discuss a suitable alternative or refund the fee attributable to the undelivered work, subject to applicable rights and the circumstances of the engagement.
Monthly advisory
A Monthly Home & Garden Advisory arrangement should specify its monthly period, scope, payment timing, and whether it renews in the accepted agreement. To stop a future period, provide notice through the direct contact channel identified in that agreement. Cancellation of a future period does not automatically reverse work already performed in a current period.
We will not describe a monthly charge as automatic renewal unless that arrangement has been expressly disclosed and accepted. Any applicable subscription cancellation rights take precedence over inconsistent wording.
Refund method and requests
When a refund is approved, we will ordinarily seek to return it through the original payment method where that method permits. The time for funds to appear may depend on the payment provider and bank. We will communicate the amount and status through the contact details associated with the transaction.
To ask for cancellation, rescheduling, or a refund, include your name, the service, the date of payment or booking if known, and a brief explanation. Do not send a full payment card number by email. We will review the request against the agreement, work performed, and applicable law.
If there is a disagreement
If you disagree with a cancellation or refund calculation, describe the accepted scope, amount paid, work delivered, and the part of the decision you believe is incorrect. We will review relevant records and explain the basis for the calculation. We may request reasonable evidence of payment, but not a complete card number.
Nothing in this policy prevents you from using a remedy available under applicable consumer protection law or from raising a payment dispute with a provider where appropriate. A specific written agreement may identify an additional process, provided it is consistent with non-waivable rights.
